Oliver Mystbloom
Species: Mage
Subspecies: Flowerborn
Codename: Mad Scholar
Nicknames: Ollie, Schollie Ollie, Olive Brains, Dandelion Tamer, Chickpea, Four Eyes, Nerd, He Who Makes Monsters, Scholiver, Olive Branch, History Head, Scrollkeeper, Olive Oil, Tree Hugger, Elflover, Gardener, Olive Roots, Spinach Brains, Fertilizer Mouth, Olive Breath, Bloomie, Father Of Monsters, Ollie Ollie Oxenfree, etc
Elements: Plants, Knowledge, Life, Magic
Hair: Brown, short, neat. Becomes longer and green/pink when his power leaks out, 'wilting' back to normal when he gets it back under control.
Skin: Lightish? Turns rough brown and soft green when his power leaks out.
Eyes: Green. Turns solid glowing green with pink sclera when his power leaks out.
Wand Forms: Living bundle of vines and roots with a single pink rose flower, with glowing pink 'eyes'. Wand was accidentally brought to life and has since grown her roots into Oliver's right arm, creating a somewhat symbiotic, somewhat parasitic relationship. This exasperated issues Oliver already had with rapidly weakening limbs, but separating for too long would kill Wand, so they're stuck together. This unusual situation makes it all the harder for Oliver to successfully use his easily-gets-out-of-control magic.
A potential older him:
Lilibeth 'Lily' FaOlive
Oliver's Flowering Tree Frog Familiar
I don't have an image for her yet, but she's just a treefrog with a pink (stemless) flower growing out of her head. She can make plants grow faster by touching them, which her species uses as a defense mechanism, growing their own escape paths.
Spells Known
Flare Spell — One of the three basic spells a Mage learns as a young child, it shoots one's personal symbol into the air as a way to signal others
• He learned it in his teens and has only managed it a few times, with varying degrees of success.
Broom Summoning Spell — This spells turns a small model broom into a proper full-sized one, usually with an appearance that matches the Mage's Element and/or style.
• He managed this once as a child, after 'Aunt ???' (one of the older Flowerborn responsible for him at the time) threw him off a cliff in response to him struggling to learn it. There were spells to catch him at the bottom, but he didn't know that until after, and still struggles with flying-related trauma over it despite his surprisingly good skills on a broom (his clumsiness doesn't extend to the air, it seems). ??? faced legal and social repercussions, to say the least.
